Larson scores three times to lead Marshfield girls hockey past Medford

MEDFORD – Morgan Larson netted a hat trick for the second time in the last three games and the Marshfield girls hockey team snapped a five-game losing streak as the Tigers beat Medford 6-2 in a Great Northern Conference game Monday night at the Simek Recreational Center.

Larson scored once in the second period and added two more in the third as Marshfield improves to 6-13 overall and 5-6 in the Great Northern Conference.

Nell Eichten added two goals and Kessa Schreiner scored once for the Tigers. Maddie Hall had nine saves in goal as Marshfield outshot Medford (1-17, 0-12 GNC) 44-11.

Marshfield finishes its regular-season schedule Friday at home against Lakeland.
