WESTON – Kaylee Boom and Chelsea Norem scored first-half goals and it proved to be enough for D.C. Everest in a 2-0 win over Marshfield in Wisconsin Valley Conference girls soccer action Tuesday.

Marshfield tried to turn the tables in the second half, controlling the ball for the majority of it, according to assistant coach Steve Lindner, but the Tigers couldn’t muster a goal and finished with just three shots on goal.

Kassi Todryk had nine saves in goal for Marshfield. Hanna Jasurda had three for the Evergreens.

Myranda Schmidt, Alyssa Brenner and Courtney Thuman led the attack for Marshfield, which falls to 0-5 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference and 2-8-1 overall.

Everest improves to 2-1-1 in the Valley.

Marshfield hosts Medford in a nonconference game at 5 p.m. Friday at Griese Park.
