UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball falls to UW-Rock County in state tournament semifinals

WISCONSIN DELLS – The University of Wisconsin-Rock County began the game on an 18-1 run and powered past UW-Marshfield/Wood County 67-46 in a semifinal at the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball State Tournament on Saturday at JustAgame Fieldhouse.

Rock County started out the game hot and the Marauders couldn’t recover. The Rattlers led 41-20 by halftime and Marshfield could not get the game back into single digits.

UW-Rock County went on to win the state championship game on Sunday, beating UW-Marathon County 49-43.

Taylor Lynn led the Marauders, who finish the season with a 13-8 record, with 11 points. She was named to the all-tournament team.
