AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale volleyball team dropped the final two games to lose a five-set nonconference match against Athens on Thursday night at Auburndale High School.
Athens won 25-23, 20-25, 20-25, 25-13, 15-10.
Robyn Brokish had 13 kills and 21 digs, Taylor Gotz added 10 kills, and Sydney Schmutzer had 31 assists for Auburndale. Mackenzie Raab led the Apaches’ defense with 22 digs.
Auburndale will compete at the Tomahawk Invitational on Saturday.
