Spencer senior Macie Weber and junior Jenna Rogers were named to the first team of the all-Cloverbelt Conference East Division volleyball team after helping the Rockets to their fourth-straight conference title.
Marshfield Columbus Catholic junior Kendra Baierl was also named to the first team, with teammate Celine Scholin picked to the second team.
Weber led the Rockets with 419 kills this season overall (conference stats were not available) and an impressive 51.9 kill percentage. Rogers was Spencer’s top defender with 446 digs (4.2 per set).
Baierl was the top Columbus player in kills with 381 overall this season, helping the Dons to a 4-3 record and a fourth-place finish in the Cloverbelt East. She also led the team with 57 block kills, a 34 percent kill percentage.
Scholin was second on the Dons with 245 kills and had 56 block kills.
“Kendra has set high goals for herself and her team next season,” Columbus Catholic coach Kat Egle said. “She hopes to get to 1,000 kills during her career. Celine is a quick attacker on the court and is successful at running plays. She keeps the opponent guessing where she will be attacking.”
Spencer’s Jenna Schober and Sadie Mercier, and Columbus’ Jennifer Reigel and Sierra Litwaitis were honorable mention selections.
Reigel led the Dons with 669 assists and Litwaitis was the team’s libero and had a team-high 338 digs.
