The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team is off to an 0-2 start to the 2015-16 season after dropping an 81-56 decision to UW-Marathon County on Wednesday night in Wausau.
The Huskies ran out to a 46-26 lead at halftime and held on from there.
Joe Estrict had 21 points and seven rebounds to lead the Marauders.
UW-Marshfield/Wood County lost its opener at home to UW-Rock County 76-64 on Nov. 7.
Hunter Busse had 22 points and Estrict had 21 points and 13 rebounds in the loss for Marshfield.
The Marauders host UW-Waukesha on Saturday at 2 p.m. following the women’s matchup, which begins at noon.
