EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield boys basketball team secured a big nonconference road win as it defeated Eau Claire North 62-50 on Tuesday night at North High School.
The Tigers led 34-26 at halftime and held on in the second half.
Marshfield (8-6) shot 51 percent (20 of 39) from the field and made 18 of 24 free throws in the win.
Adam Fravert had 16 points and eight rebounds, Alec Hinson was 11-for-11 from the free throw line and added 13 points, and Ethan Voss chipped in 10 points for the Tigers.
Marshfield hosts No. 1-ranked and undefeated Stevens Point at 7:45 p.m. Friday as part of a girls-boys doubleheader. The girls game starts at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow. Both games will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
