Stratford softball wins at Auburndale

AUBURNDALE – Stratford scored five times in the first inning and added seven more in the third to go on to a 13-3 victory over Auburndale in a Marawood Conference South Division softball game Friday at Auburndale High School.

Stratford pounded out 11 hits and took advantage of six walks in the victory.

Kaeden Dvorak went 2-for-3 and Mickey Terry drove in a run with a double for Auburndale.

Lorrie Luepke earned the win for Stratford, striking out five and allowing three runs, only one of which was earned. She also added three hits and two RBIs.

Kiana Weiler added three hits and two RBIs, and Sammy Kaiser drove in three runs for the Tigers.

Both teams return to action Tuesday. Auburndale will be at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption while Stratford will host Loyal/Granton.
