Marshfield boys golf second at home invitational

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys golf team finished second at its home Marshfield Invitational on Tuesday at RiverEdge Golf Course.

Marshfield junior Derek Michalski was the meet medalist, shooting a 2-over par 74 to top Stevens Point’s Max Bancker by four strokes.

Stevens Point won the team title with a score of 326, 16 shots in front of Marshfield.

Brendan Schneider and Zach Hanson each shot 89s, and Grant Michaelis and Joe Kirschnik both fired 90s for Marshfield’s other scores.

Marshfield will compete at the D.C. Everest Invitational at Greenwood Hills Country Club in Wausau on Friday.
