WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Auburndale baseball team managed just one hit in a 5-1 loss to Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Tuesday at Witter Field.
Assumption walked 11 Auburndale batters but the Apaches had just one hit – a single by Aaron Willfahrt – and couldn’t plate more than the one run as they struck out 15 times.
Willfahrt suffered the loss, giving up three runs and four hits in four innings. He struck out six.
Auburndale hosts Pittsville on Friday.
