MERRILL – The Marshfield baseball team split a doubleheader with Merrill on Thursday, winning 10-0 and losing 11-5, at Athletic Park.
In Game 1, Tyson Slade, Connor Jasurda and Jeremy Brost combined on a five-inning two-hitter for the Tigers without allowing a walk.
Paul Maguire had two doubles and drove in four runs, Trevor Schwecke had two hits and three RBIs, and Scott Berg had three hits and scored three times for Marshfield.

Marshfield is now 7-9 overall and 4-4 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. Merrill is 5-10 and 3-5 in the conference.
Marshfield hosts its annual tournament this weekend. The Tigers will play Menomonie on Friday at 5 p.m. The Tigers will take on Antigo and Holmen on Saturday.
