OSSEO – The Auburndale football team dropped a 38-20 decision to Osseo-Fairchild in a nonconference game Friday night at Osseo-Fairchild High School.
The Apaches are now 1-3 this season, while O-F improves to 2-2.
Auburndale (1-2 Marawood Conference) hosts Phillips (0-4 overall and Marawood) in a conference tilt next Friday at Auburndale High School beginning at 7 p.m.
Aaron Willfahrt had all three touchdowns for Auburndale. He caught touchdown passes of 3 and 45 yards from Ryan Isaacson, and had a 5-yard TD run.
Osseo-Fairchild ran out to a 24-0 lead behind a pair of rushing touchdowns from Jake Prudlick.
After Willfahrt’s first touchdown with just 51 seconds to go before halftime got Auburndale on the board, Osseo-Fairchild opened its lead by up to 24 as Prudlick returned the opening kickoff of the second half 80 yards for a score.
Isaacson finished with 175 yards passing on 10 of 23, and Willfahrt had 57 yards rushing to top the Apaches.
