STRATFORD – The Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League held its third week of competition on Sunday, with eight games in two divisions.
Here is a look at the results:
A Division
*Nutz Deep II beat Wick’s Auto Body 70-56 behind 31 points from Nate Lehman and 20 from Mitchell Skurzewski. Ty Raatz topped Wick’s with 14 points.
*Victory Apparel defeated Smazal’s Hunters Choice 59-52 in what was the closest outcome of the night. Joey Northup had 20 points for Victory. Hunter Busse led Smazal’s with 15 points.
*Prudential/Success Realty rolled past Financial Strategies 64-29. Cain Trunkel topped Prudential with 23 points. Alfred Hart had nine for Financial Strategies.
*US Bancorp edged Kafka Forestry 49-41. Dodge Langreck led all scorers with 14 points for US Bancorp. Derek Wojcik had 11 for Kafka.
B Division
*Marshfield Country Club cruised past Davis Auto 65-53. Chris Klimpke had 21 points to lead MCC. Kyle Davis finished with 19 points for Davis Auto.
*Resource Recovery beat Lob City 87-70 and three people scored more than 20 points. Dion Behm led the way for Resource with 25 points, Derrick Schmidt added 24 and Barry Messman had 21. Jason Pierce led Lob City with 20 points.
*Chaps and Friends defeated Weiler’s C-Stores 59-47. Ryan Williams led Chaps with 18 points. Robert Rogers scored 15 for Weiler’s.
*LJ’s Sports Zone topped Clyde’s Clubbers 68-58. Alex Marth and Josh Zimmermann each had 15 points for LJ’s. Brian Heusi and Derek Austin both scored 13 for Clyde’s.
