Unbeaten Neillsville cruises past Spencer girls basketball

NEILLSVILLE – Neillsville jumped on Spencer with a big first-half run and rolled to a 67-22 victory in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball matchup Tuesday night at Neillsville High School.

Neillsville pulled out to a 46-13 lead by halftime and held the Rockets to just nine points in the second half of the win.

Spencer (5-4, 3-4 Cloverbelt East) made just 5 of 30 shots from the field and turned the ball over 28 times in the loss. Lexi Baehr had seven points to lead Spencer.

Kayla Lis topped Neillsville (8-0, 6-0 Cloverbelt East) with 18 points.

Spencer is off until Jan. 3 when it hosts Edgar in a nonconference game.
