Marshfield boys hockey loses Valley match to D.C. Everest

MARSHFIELD – D.C. Everest scored five unanswered goals over the first two periods and rolled to a 7-1 win over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys hockey game Thursday at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.

Ty Tretter scored 1:09 into the game to start the run by the Evergreens (6-2, 2-1 Wisconsin Valley Conference), who extended the lead to 5-0 by the end of the second period.

Evan Weister scored 7:01 into the third period for Marshfield’s only goal, but Everest followed up with another goal just 18 seconds later, and another before the end of the game.

Marshfield (2-6-1, 0-3-1 Wisconsin Valley Conference) is off until Jan. 3 when it plays at Mosinee in a nonconference game.
