Spencer girls basketball loses at home to Rib Lake

SPENCER – Rib Lake shot 47 percent from the field and got 31 points from Katie Cardey to beat Spencer 64-43 in a nonconference girls basketball game Monday night at Spencer High School.

Rib Lake (8-6) pulled ahead 31-20 by halftime and outscored Spencer (7-8) by 10 in the second half to preserve the victory.

Lexi Baehr hit 6 of 12 shots from 3-point range and made 8 of 10 free throws to score 28 points for the Rockets. The rest of the team was just 6 of 20 from the floor and Spencer committed 30 turnovers in the loss.

Spencer hosts Greenwood on Thursday in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game.
