MADISON – Marshfield’s No. 1 doubles team of Jared Cordova and Braedon Corteen was eliminated after losing its opening-round match at the 2018 WIAA State Individual Boys Tennis Tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison on Thursday.
Cordova, a sophomore, and Corteen, a senior, lost to Colin Mast and Trevor Millhouse of Westosha Central (16-6), 6-3, 6-4.
Cordova and Corteen finish their season with a 15-6 record.
Play continues Friday with second-round, third-round and quarterfinal matches, and concludes with semifinals and championship matches on Saturday.
