Marshfield boys hockey dominates Black River Falls

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield exploded for four goals in the second period and went on to a 7-1 rout of Black River Falls in a nonconference boys hockey game Friday night at the Marshfield Area Ice Arena.

Evan Weister scored with 8 seconds to go in the first period and Marshfield kept that momentum rolling into the second, scoring four times, three coming within the first six minutes.

Noah Peterson, Payton Smith, Henry Hoerneman and Nick Urban had goals for Marshfield as it busted out to a 5-0 lead.

Urban scored again 2:32 into the third and Sawyer Schindler added a goal later in the period for Marshfield.

A.J. Trierweiler had 26 saves in goal for Marshfield (11-8-1).

Marshfield returns to action Tuesday at Merrill against Merrill/Wausau East.
