Marshfield girls basketball tops Menomonie for 11th-straight win

MENOMONIE – Maddie Michaelis scored 22 points to lead the Marshfield girls basketball team to a 66-50 nonconference win over Menomonie on Tuesday night at Menomonie High School.

The win is Marshfield’s 11th in a row as the Tigers improve to 15-5 this season.

Desirae Weisenberger added 14 points and Kaydee Johnson had 12 in the win for the Tigers.

Olivia Steinmetz topped Menomonie (8-13) with 12 points.

Marshfield finishes its regular-season schedule Thursday at Rhinelander, the Great Northern Conference champions. The Tigers will open WIAA postseason play with a Division 1 regional semifinal at home against Superior on Feb. 28.
