Stratford softball pummels Chequamegon

PARK FALLS – The Stratford softball team needed just three innings to defeat Chequamegon 17-1 via the 15-run rule Friday.

The Tigers scored nine times in the first inning and eight more in the third, taking advantage of 11 walks and eight hits to improve to 3-3 this season.

Bailey Linzmeier and Kressa Wenzel each had two hits, and Ally Zuleger had a double and three RBIs for Stratford.

Zuleger picked up the win, striking out four and allowing four hits in three innings.

Stratford will play at the Gilman-Thorp Slamfest on Saturday.
