Marshfield boys soccer plays to scoreless tie with D.C. Everest

MARSHFIELD – Behind 20 saves from goalkeeper Seth Jonas, the Marshfield boys soccer team forced a 0-0 scoreless tie with D.C. Everest in Wisconsin Valley Conference action Thursday at Heiting Community Stadium.

Marshfield is now 3-6-2 overall and 2-5-2 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. D.C. Everest is now 6-5-3 overall and 4-2-3 in conference play.

D.C. Everest held a 20-4 shot advantage, but couldn’t get one past Jonas, who is leading the WVC in save percentage this season.

Marshfield will host Hortonville for a nonconference game at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heiting Community Stadium. Both teams return to WVC play next Tuesday with Marshfield playing at Wausau East and D.C. Everest hosting first-place Stevens Point.
