Auburndale, Stratford volleyball each finish 1-2 at Marawood Challenge

ABBOTSFORD – The Auburndale and Stratford volleyball teams each finished 1-2 at a Marawood Conference Volleyball Challenge on Saturday at Abbotsford High School.

Athens defeated Auburndale 25-15, 25-13, and Stratford 25-23, 25-14, and lost to Marathon 23-25, 25-17, 25-9, to finish 2-1.

Stratford went on to defeat Chequamegon 25-19, 23-25, 15-6, and lost to Abbotsford 25-14, 25-18.

Auburndale earned a 25-9, 25-13 win over Chequamegon. The Eagles’ third match was not reported.

Ashlyn Grimm had 11 assists, Ashlyn Guldan had nine digs, and Brianna Weiler and Marta Almendra had four kills each in Auburndale’s win over Chequamegon.

Ally Zuleger had 40 assists, Hailey Chapel had 18 kills and 17 assists, Tessa Berg had 16 kills, and Megan Wiese had 13 kills and 18 digs for Stratford in its three matches.
