MARATHON – The Stratford volleyball team’s playoff run came to an end Saturday night with a 3-0 loss to Marawood Conference South Division rival Marathon in a WIAA Division 3 regional final at Marathon High School.
The No. 1 seed Marathon won 25-13, 25-20, 25-8, to move on to a D-3 sectional semifinal at home against No. 2 Stanley-Boyd on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Megan Wiese had seven kills and four assists, and Hailey Chapel had five kills and six digs for Stratford.
