Columbus Catholic girls basketball loses Cranberry Classic opener to Shawano

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball team dropped a 43-40 decision to Shawano in the opening game of the Cranberry Classic on Friday at Assumption High School.

The Dons (2-1) will play Northland Lutheran (0-2) in the third-place game of the tournament on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.

Maggie Callaghan scored 11 of her team-high 16 points from the free throw line to lead the Dons. Sam Casperson also chipped in 10 points in the loss.
