Spencer boys basketball slams Greenwood

SPENCER – The Spencer boys basketball team dominated Greenwood, winning 74-43 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets are now 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the Cloverbelt East, while Greenwood falls to 1-5 and 0-4 in conference play.

Noah Schultz had 18 points, and Caleb Rucker and Kaleb Brandt each added 13 points for Spencer, which had nine 3-pointers in the victory.

Connor Bacon chipped in 10 points and six rebounds, Brandt had 10 rebounds, and Nathan Rucker had seven points as well for the Rockets.

Greenwood plays a nonconference game at Cornell on Monday, and Spencer returns to action with a Cloverbelt East game at home Tuesday against Loyal.
