Edgar hands Auburndale girls basketball its first Marawood South loss

EDGAR – The Edgar girls basketball team handed Auburndale its first Marawood Conference South Division loss, winning 53-37 on Tuesday at Edgar High School.

Edgar outscored Auburndale by eight points in each half to even its Marawood South record at 3-3 and improve to 7-4 overall. Auburndale falls to 8-3 and 5-1 in conference play.

Reagan Borchardt had 13 points and Malia Hoesly 12 for the Wildcats.

Josie Ertl led Auburndale with 11 points.

Both teams will host Marawood Conference crossover games on Friday. Edgar will be playing Athens and Auburndale will take on Chequamegon.
