UW-Marshfield men’s basketball team loses home opener

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team dropped its home opener Saturday at UW-Washington County 73-66.

The Marauders fall to 1-2 on the season.

Jake Scheppler and Trevor Gorman each had 13 points and Cullen Haldeman added 10 in the loss for the Marauders.

UW-Marshfield is off this week and returns to action Monday, Nov. 22 with a home game against UW-Richland at 7 p.m.

Josh DeSmidr led Washington County with 23 points and Elias Hovorka had 18 points and seven rebounds.
