Columbus Catholic softball knocks off Rib Lake for third-straight win

MARSHFIELD – Columbus Catholic scored nine runs in the bottom of first inning and held off Rib Lake to win 12-7 in a nonconference softball game Monday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Cierra Dieringer, Hailey Zimmermann, Mattea Schlafke and Brianna Duda each had two RBI for the Dons, who improve to 4-5 with their third-straight win.

Zimmermann earned the win with four innings of relief. She struck out eight and allowed two runs.

Columbus Catholic plays a Cloverbelt Conference East Division doubleheader at Loyal/Greenwood on Tuesday.
