Columbus Catholic softball doubles up Gilman

GILMAN – Akousa Yeboah struck out 10 in a complete-game effort to lead the Columbus Catholic softball team to a 6-3 win over Gilman on Thursday at Gilman High School.

Yeboah gave up just three hits and two walks to Gilman, which scored all three of its runs in the sixth inning after the Dons had built a 5-0 lead.

Cierra Dieringer and Sam Casperson each had two hits and two runs scored to lead the Dons’ offense.

Columbus Catholic hosts Spencer at 5 p.m. Friday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
