Auburndale baseball roughs up Loyal

AUBURNDALE – Auburndale took advantage of 15 walks and used a 10-run second inning to roll past Loyal 21-2 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Auburndale High School.

The Eagles (11-8) had 11 hits, two each from Aden Cherney and Trayton Weber. Cherney drove in three runs and scored three times, and five others had two RBI each in the win.

Loyal will finish off its Cloverbelt Conference East Division schedule at Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.

Auburndale will play a nonconference home game against Owen-Withee on Thursday at 4:45 p.m.
