Marshfield boys swimming wins four events, claims team title at Chippewa Falls Invite

CHIPPEWA FALLS – Marshfield won four events and earned the team title at the Chippewa Falls Boys Swimming Invitational on Saturday at Chippewa Falls Middle School.

The Tigers racked up 431 points, finishing 33 points ahead of River Falls for the team championship. Rice Lake was a distant third with 250 points.

Zander Edmundson won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:07.79 and Carlos Koehn was first in the 500 freestyle in 6:12.02 for the Tigers’ two individual wins.

Marshfield also picked up victories in the 200 freestyle relay as the team of Simon Dagit, Carson Klumb, Henry Hilbelink and Kyle Berres won in 1:37.83, and the 8×50 freestyle relay as the Tigers won in 3:23.87.

Berres earned a pair of runner-up finishes, taking second in the 50 freestyle (23.63) and the 100 freestyle (51.64), and Daigt took second in the 100 butterfly (1:00.13) as well for Marshfield.
