Auburndale girls basketball drops tight nonconference game to Bonduel

AUBURNDALE – Gracie Krings and Annamarie Aue combined for eight 3-pointers but it wasn’t enough as the Auburndale girls basketball team came up short, losing 57-53 to Bonduel in a tightly-contested nonconference game Monday night at Auburndale High School.

Krings made five 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 15 points, and Aue added three makes from long range and added 14 points for the Eagles, who fall to 10-5. Ashlyn Grimm chipped in 12 points for Auburndale as she went 6-for-9 at the free throw line.

Hailey Zernicke had a game-high 25 points for Bonduel (13-4).

Auburndale plays a Marawood Conference South Division game at Wausau Newman Catholic on Thursday.
