Gorman’s late 3 gives UW-Marshfield men’s basketball team two-point road win

RICE LAKE – Trevor Gorman hit a 3-pointer with 8 seconds left in the game to give the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team a 68-66 win over UW-Barron County in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference game Monday night.

Trailing 66-65, Gorman drilled the long-range bomb to put the Marauders on top. Barron County’s 3-pointer at the buzzer missed.

Jake Scheppler scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Gorman and Cullen Haldeman each scored 12 for UW-Marshfield, which improves to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the WCC.

The Marauders play UW-Fox Valley in Menasha on Friday.
