Marshfield girls golf team opens Clover Valley Tournament with win at Whispering Pines

CADOTT – Jordyn Fitzgerald and Molly Field tied for fourth with 44s to lead the Marshfield girls golf team to a first-place finish in the first leg of the season-long Clover Valley Golf League tournament on Thursday at Whispering Pines Golf Course. The event was hosted by Stanley-Boyd.

Ana Jensen finished sixth with a 45 just behind Fitzgerald and Field to lift the Tigers to a score of 181, seven shots ahead of Osseo-Fairchild.

Macy Fitzgerald rounded out the Marshfield scores with a 48.

Megan Pokrandt of Eau Claire Regis and Shania Steen of Osseo-Fairchild tied for medalist honors with 42s.

The second leg of the tournament is Tuesday at the Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
