WISCONSIN RAPIDS – McKayla Scheuer led a strong performance by the Marshfield country teams by winning the girls race at a dual meet against Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
No team scores were kept in the meet.
Scheuer, a sophomore, won the girls race in 17:05 and the next four Marshfield runners finished in the top six. Madie Koehn was third in 17:14, Dani Bender finished fourth in 17:34, Melissa Brix was fifth in 17:40 and Gabby Stauber took sixth in 17:47.
Devon Klement led the Marshfield boys by taking third in 14:39. James Kollross was fourth in 14:59, Talon Labrec finished sixth in 15:27, Brett Roeglin was seventh in 15:30 and Nick Benson took eighth in 15:51.
