WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield boys tennis team swept the four singles matches, losing only two games, and defeated Wisconsin Rapids 6-1 in its opening Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Tuesday at Lincoln High School.
Kai Rens at No. 1 singles, Will Jepson at No. 2 and Ace Lee at No. 4 all won 6-0, 6-0, to propel the Tigers to the victory.
Marshfield will travel to Stevens Point for another WVC dual Thursday.

Doubles: 1. Baldwin James-Carter Swen (WR) def. Henry Johnson-Ryan Grassman, 7-6 (2), 6-2; 2. Parker Tompkins-Aran Tripathi (M) won by forfeit; 3. Beckett Hall-Kevin Buth (M) won by forfeit.
