Bobby Pilz strikes out 14, lifts Spencer baseball to win over Columbus Catholic

MARSHFIELD – Bobby Pilz struck out 14 in six innings to lead the Spencer baseball team to an 8-1 win over Marshfield Columbus Catholic in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday night at Jack Hackman Field.

Pilz allowed just two hits, one walk and one run to pick up the win for Spencer (15-4, 14-3 Cloverbelt East).

Kienan McIntee suffered the loss for Columbus Catholic, which finishes its regular season with an 8-10 record overall and in the conference. McIntee gave up seven runs in six innings, striking out eight.

Spencer finishes its regular season Friday with a Cloverbelt East game at Augusta on Friday.
