UW-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball beats UW-Baraboo in five games

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team edged UW-Baraboo 3-2 in a hard-fought match Monday night at the Marauder Gym.

The Marauders hosted their annual Play-4-Pink match, with proceeds and donations going to help fight breast cancer.

Marshfield won 25-22, 25-19, 17-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Briana Ziemendorf had 39 assists, Marissa Wussow had 10 kills, and Alicia Endreas and Emily Kadolph each added nine kills for the Marauders. Jordan Mielke led the defense with a career-high 21 digs.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County wraps up its regular-season schedule with a home match against UW-Marathon County at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
