The 2019 WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament concluded Saturday with five divisional championship games at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Brookfield Central (23-5), making its 10th state tournament appearance, won its first-ever championship, beating Sun Prairie (21-7), 69-52, in the Division 1 final.
Glendale Nicolet (27-1) also won its first-ever state title, beating Milwaukee Washington (22-6), 67-54, in the Division 2 game. Nicolet was making its first state appearance since 1993.
Greendale Martin Luther (25-3) won the Division 3 title in its first state tournament appearance in school history. Martin Luther beat Waupun (26-2) 58-49.
In Division 4, New Glarus (26-2) topped Oshkosh Lourdes Academy (26-2), 67-62, to win its first state championship.
Sheboygan Area Lutheran (27-2) held off Marshfield Columbus Catholic (26-3), 77-69, to win the Division 5 title. Sheboygan Area Lutheran also won a Division 5 title in 2012.
