NEILLSVILLE – Neillsville busted open a tie game with a three-run sixth inning and defeated Spencer 4-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Tuesday at Neillsville High School.

The Rockets tied the game at 1-1 on an RBI single by Austyn Widmann in the top of the fourth and the score held until Neillsville plated three. A wild pitch allowed one run to come in and Bryce Erickson added a two-run single to put the Warriors (6-5, 3-2 Cloverbelt East) up 4-1.

Neillsville pitcher Gavyn McFarlance was able to finish off the complete game with a three-up, three-down seventh.

Spencer (5-8, 3-4 Cloverbelt East) will host Neillsville for a rematch on Thursday at 5 p.m.
