Spencer softball drops both ends of twinbill to Neillsville

NEILLSVILLE – Neillsville finished with double-digit hits and runs in both games and swept a Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball doubleheader over Spencer 11-7 and 15-0 on Tuesday at Neillsville High School.

Kiarissa Canfield picked up the win in each game for the Warriors (4-8, 4-4 Cloverbelt East), striking out five in Game 1 and seven in the finale.

Dani Soback and Emma Nieman each had two hits, and Hannah Schreiner drove in two runs for Spencer (3-11, 1-5 Cloverbelt East) in the opener.

The Rockets were held to just one hit in Game 2, a double by Keely Schuh.

The Rockets will play another Cloverbelt East doubleheader on Thursday against Marshfield Columbus Catholic at the Marshfield Fairgrounds starting at 4 p.m.
