Columbus Catholic ties for first at seventh Cloverbelt East boys golf meet

NEILLSVILLE – Marshfield Columbus Catholic tied Stanley-Boyd for first place at the seventh meet of the Cloverbelt Conference East Division Boys Golf Tournament on Thursday at Neillsville Country Club.

The Dons and Stanley-Boyd finished with scores of 192, 11 shots ahead of third-place Neillsville.

Neillsville’s Tucker Johnson won meet medalist honors with a 38, five strokes better than Stanley-Boyd’s Carson Oemig.

Kaleb Hilgemann tied for third with a 46 and Charlie Moore placed fifth with a 47 for the Dons.

Kohle Hilgeman added a 49, Jack Kohlbeck shot a 59 and Josh Van Wyhe had a 62 as wel for Columbus Catholic.

Columbus Catholic will compete at the Cloverbelt Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Skyline Golf Club in Black River Falls.
