GREENWOOD – Krystal Weier led three Spencer players in double figures with 11 points as the Rockets pulled off a narrow 37-36 win over Greenwood on Thursday night at Greenwood High School.

Aubrie Bissonette and Kyleigh Hebert each added 10 points for the Rockets, who trailed by four points heading into the fourth quarter.

Spencer started the game by dominating the first quarter, outscoring the Indians 11-1. Greenwood turned the tables, using a 15-2 run in the second quarter to take a 16-13 lead into halftime.

The Indians maintained a 26-22 lead heading into the fourth before the Rockets stormed back to pull off the tight win.

Spencer won for the fourth straight time to improve to 9-2 overall and 6-2 in the Cloverbelt East. Greenwood falls out of a tie for third-place in the conference with Spencer, dropping to 7-5 and 5-3 in Cloverbelt East.

Spencer plays at undefeated and first-place Neillsville on Tuesday.
