JANESVILLE – Brandon Herr scored 22 points for the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team in a narrow 68-65 loss to UW-Rock County on Saturday.
Marshfield trailed 30-26 at halftime and outscored Rock County one in the second half before falling short.
Jake Scheppler added 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Jesse Bejcek had 11 points for the Marauders (8-6).
The Marauders women won their game against UW-Rock County by forfeit.
UW-Marshfield hosts UW-Marathon County for a doubleheader on Monday. The women’s game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game follows at 7:30 p.m.
