La Crosse Logan sends Marshfield boys basketball to home loss

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys basketball team was outscored by 19 points during the final three quarters and dropped a 71-59 nonconference game to La Crosse Logan on Tuesday night at Marshfield High School.

The Tigers led 20-13 after one quarter before seeing their lead slip away and they trailed by one at halftime. The Rangers outscored Marshfield 42-29 in the second half.

Vince Kube scored 26 points, hitting 8 of 8 free throws, in the victory for Logan (7-7). The Rangers were 21 of 24 from the free throw line, while Marshfield was just 3 of 5.

Elliot Ashbeck had 24 points and Ben Satter added 11 for the Tigers, who fall to 8-5.

Marshfield hosts Merrill on Friday.
