Greenwood remains unbeaten, blasts Columbus Catholic baseball

MARSHFIELD – Greenwood scored nine runs in the first inning and held Marshfield Columbus Catholic to just one hit in a 13-1 win over the Dons on Tuesday at Reeths Field.

Westion Wuethrich and Derick Sterland combined on the one-hitter. They had 11 strikeouts and didn’t walk a batter.

Kole Hinker had three doubles for the Indians, who improve to 5-0 overall and in the Cloverbelt East. Columbus falls to 1-5 and 1-3 in the conference.

Columbus hosts Gilman on Thursday.
