Auburndale softball rallies in seventh to beat Rib Lake

RIB LAKE – The Auburndale softball team scored seven times in the top of the seventh inning to pull out a 10-4 nonconference win over Rib Lake on Friday at Rib Lake High School.

The Eagles scored three times in the first inning and held that lead until Rib Lake responded with four runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Auburndale rallied, with Morgan Griesbach delivering an RBI triple and Sammy Stanton knocking in two with a double in the seventh as the Eagles pulled in front.

Myah Katzenberger went the distance on the mound, striking out eight and walking 10 for Auburndale (9-3).

The Eagles will host Marshfield Columbus Catholic for a nonconference game Monday at 4:45 p.m. at Auburndale High School.
