Greenwood shuts out Columbus Catholic baseball, remains unbeaten in Cloverbelt East

GREENWOOD – The Greenwood baseball team continued with its dominance of the Cloverbelt East, routing Marshfield Columbus Catholic 14-0 on Friday.

Greenwood scored nine runs in the second inning and five more in the third to beat the Dons and improve to 11-0 overall and in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division. Columbus drops to 4-8 and 4-6 in the conference.

Alex Larson had the only hit in the game for the Dons with a double.

Weston Weutrich and Derrick Sterland combined on the five-inning one-hitter for the Indians.

Mike Iwanski took the loss for Columbus, striking out three and walking two.
