Four Marshfield gymnastics qualify for AAU Nationals

REEDSBURG – Four Marshfield girls placed at the 2012 AAU Girls State Gymnatics Meet on April 28-29 and earned spots in the AAU Nationals in Wisconsin Dells at the end of June.

Kendall Pawlicki, Riley Gramza, MaKenna Gramza and Allison Mitchell competed for Marshfield and earned top spots in their respective age groups to qualify for the national meet.

Pawlicki, a freshman at Marshfield High School, placed fifth in the vault, seventh in the bars, fourth on the beam and seventh in the floor exercise to take fifth in the all-around.

Riley Gramza, also a freshman at Marshfield High School, took sixth on the vault, third on the bars, second on the beam and second in the floor to finish fifth in the all-around.

MaKenna Gramza, a sixth-grader at Grant Elementary School, was second in the vault and bars, ninth on the beam, sixth on the floor and took second in the all-around competition.

Mitchell, a junior at Marshfield High School, took first in the all-around after winning the beam and floor, and taking second on the vault and bars.

The four girls compete for the Gym Sport Gymnastics team from Weston and are coached by Kris Elp.
