COLUMBUS, Ohio – The rookie season for Marshfield High School graduate Ethan Finlay is winding down with Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew.
The former Tigers standout and Creighton University star has played in 15 games this season for the Crew, who are 14-11-7 with two games remaining on their regular-season schedule. Columbus is one point out of the fifth and final playoff spot in the MLS Eastern Conference with games at D.C. United on Saturday and at home against Toronto FC on Oct. 28 left on its schedule.
Finlay did not score a goal or record an assist in any of his 15 appearances this season, which included three starts early in the year. Finlay has not played in the Crew’s last 10 games.
